EXPERIENCE IN EDITORIAL STYLING

DURING MY TIME STUDYING AT THE LONDON COLLEGE OF FASHION, I TOOK A CLASS ON STYLING TAUGHT BY INDUSTRY PROFESSIONALS. THROUGHOUT THE CLASS, WE WENT THROUGH THE PROCESS OF STYLING AN EDITORIAL SHOOT WHILE COLLABORATING IN SMALL TEAMS. MY TEAM WAS IN CHARGE OF FINDING A PHOTOGRAPHER, HAIR AND MAKEUP PROFESSIONALS, A MODEL, AND SOURCING EACH CLOTHING AND ACCESSORY PIECE YOU SEE IN THE SHOOT.  LONDON HAS AN INCREDIBLE APPAREL SELECTION WITH UNIQUE STORES SURROUNDING THE CITY ALONG WITH A SIZABLE AMOUNT OF THRIFTING OPPORTUNITIES. MY TEAM USED A MIXTURE OF VINTAGE AND NEW ITEMS IN THE SHOOT. GOING WITH A PSYCHEDELIC APPROACH, MY TEAM CAME UP WITH AN ECCENTRIC THEME OF A QUIRKY LADY LIVING IN THE PARK. THIS WAS REPRESENTED THROUGH VIBRANT SPRING COLORS, MIXED PRINTS, AND UNEXPECTED LAYERING. THE PLAYFUL FEEL OF THE EDITORIAL SPREAD PERFORMED VERY WELL AMONGST MY PROFESSORS, AND IT ACTUALLY ENDED UP GETTING PUBLISHED IN A SMALL LONDON FASHION MAGAZINE TITLED SoEdited WHICH CAN BE FOUND AT: http://www.soedited.com/soslashbullfashion1.html.

EDITORIAL LOOKBOOK

WORKING WITH THE SAME TEAM AT LONDON COLLEGE OF FASHION, WE WERE TASKED WITH CREATING AN EDITORIAL LOOKBOOK SPREAD FOR A SPECIFIC BRAND. ALL SAINTS A/W 2019 WAS KEPT IN MIND AS OUR BRAND AND SEASON THROUGHOUT THE STYLING PROCESS OF THIS SHOOT WHILE USING A UTILITARIAN EARTH TONE THEME.
